Biography

Alicia Mousseau is the daughter of the late John and Vera Mousseau and the granddaughter of the late James and Lena Mousseau from Porcupine, South Dakota. Her hunka parents are Howard Brown and the late Karen Spoonhunter-Brown of Arapahoe, Wyoming. Vice President Mousseau advocates and works collaboratively to bring supports and resources to the Oglala Sioux Tribe. She serves on the Indian Health Service Direct Service Tribes Advisory Committee and the National Institutes of Health Tribal Advisory Committee. Finally, Vice President Mousseau serves on the Oglala Sioux Tribe Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and Child Protection Services Task Force and works with the Oglala Sioux Tribe Water Team ensure the safety and well-being of the Oglala Sioux Tribe’s children, families, resources, and Nation.
