Andi will be the first woman elected Mayor of Hagerstown


Andi Overton is the Director of Business Development at Mount St. Mary’s University’s Frederick Campus. She works to bring industry and academia together, helping folks reach their professional goals through academia, workforce development, and mentorship. She has dedicated her professional career to serving the underserved while fighting for equality and equity. Andi is also a dedicated mentor, community volunteer and the President of the Washington County Commission for Women. A 2019 Emerge Maryland graduate, Andi has two graduate degrees and is working toward her doctorate.

Andi has volunteered to rebuild homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, collected jackets and warm clothes for numerous organizations and can be found talking to local school children about her life as an out and proud lesbian who identifies as a woman–and political candidate.

As a former law enforcement officer, Andi understands the need to create pathways for all citizens that lead to better access to healthcare, education, transportation, and employment. She has dedicated her career to listening to people and providing information when needed and actionable solutions where applicable.

Andi lives with her girlfriend, several rescue dogs and cats on the North end of the City of Hagerstown.
