Benjamin will be the only openly LGBTQ member of the Roeland Park City Council
Benjamin Dickens is running for Roeland Park City Council, Ward 2. Benjamin has lived in Roeland Park for 6 years and is ready to be part of the solution to build a stronger community for everyone.
Over the past 13 years, Benjamin’s career has been in Human Resources. That experience has provided him the opportunity to work with individuals from the blue-collar work force and office administrators to C level executives and department chairs. For that reason, he can best represent all of the people in Roeland Park while they share their ideas about how to stay focused on, and resolve, the key issues facing the city.
When elected, Benjamin will continue the hard work that is already underway in Roeland Park while pushing for more needed investments in the city. He will work to improve traffic flow and road conditions to make streets safer and more community friendly. He will also remain focused on improving our city’s parks, community center, and pool as well as find ways for the city to partner with entrepreneurs and developers to bring in new local businesses to revitalize the downtown area.
By doing these things, and more, Benjamin will make Roeland Park a community for all people.
