Beth will be the first openly LGBTQ elected judge in Delaware County
Beth Salkind is running for Magisterial District Judge in Delaware County, just outside Philadelphia. Born and raised in West Philadelphia, Beth has been a proud resident of Delaware County since 2003. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Judaic Studies from New York University, has worked full-time as a litigation paralegal for more than 15 years, and is certified by the Pennsylvania Courts to serve as a Magisterial District Judge. She is a member and volunteer at Kol Tzedek Reconstructionist Synagogue.
Beth’s experience assisting people who have suffered injuries has shown her that people want a legal system that will listen to their stories and give them a fair hearing. She believes in courts that apply the law fairly and holistically and take into consideration the impact court proceedings have on the lives of all the people involved.
