Bill is a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ community in Vermont


Bill is a Democratic member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Chittenden 4-2. He was first elected to the chamber in 1992.

Bill earned his B.A. in history from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana in 1972. He went on to receive his M.A. in counseling and psychology from Antioch University in 1979. He then attended the Senior Executives in State & Local Government Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2007.

Bill was Executive Director of Counseling Services of Addison County from 1984 to 1996.
