Summit County Commissioner, District 3

A Dallas native, Josh Blanchard moved to Colorado with his partner Christopher Alleman in 2002. Since then, Josh has worked to serve Summit County’s diverse community through non-profit arts management, higher education and resort-management.  
As Executive Director of the Lake Dillon Foundation, Josh spearheaded the implementation of a six-part strategic plan, increasing revenues while managing a $3.8M capital campaign for the new Silverthorne Performing Arts Center opening in 2017. As an administrator and artist, Josh has received TrueWest Culture West and Colorado Theatre Guild honors.  
Josh was honored with the 2012 Outstanding Nonprofit Professional Philanthropy Award from The Summit Foundation. He has been an adjunct faculty member of Colorado Mountain College since 2006 and was awarded “Outstanding Adjunct Instructor of the Year” in 2018.  
Josh serves as a Lower Blue Planning Commissioner and sits on the Summit County Arts Forum. He is a proud board member of Growing Together, a non-profit dedicated to empowering, integrating, and valuing immigrants and their families. He is a citizen advisor for the Summit County Zero Waste subcommittee. An active member of the Summit County Democrats, he serves as First Vice Chair and sits on several regional committees.  
Josh values equity, diversity and inclusion for all of Summit County. If elected, Josh will work to serve Summit County’s working families, ensuring a stronger Summit County for today and tomorrow.
