Bobby is the only openly LGBTQ member of the Mogadore Village Council
Bobby McDowall is a lifelong resident of Mogadore, Ohio. He was first elected as Mogadore’s first openly gay councilman in 2013. In 2016, Bobby challenged an incumbent Republican for a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives. Bobby is running for a third term on Mogadore Council. He currently works as a paralegal at a consumer protection law firm. Bobby has focused on Mogadore’s infrastructure issues during his time on council, sponsoring legislation to make critical investments in Mogadore’s roads and parks. He also voted for legislation to provide body cameras to Mogadore’s police force, protecting the police officers and citizens alike.
Importance of Candidacy:
- Bobby was the first openly gay man elected to the Mogadore Village Council.
