Sam Bowling

Sam Bowling is excited to represent Ward 1 in the city of Norwood, Ohio as the first ever openly LGBTQIA+ member of the city government. She is a wife, a cat mom, and a passionate community activist. Raised in nearby Cincinnati in a diverse and loving family, Sam wants everyone to feel as welcoming and accepted as she always has- at home, at school, and in the city they live in. She studied Stage Management, and took those skills to the hospitality field, where she has been managing bars, restaurant, and people since 2012. As much as she enjoys her career, Sam finds the most fulfillment in making community impact- by serving on the Board of Directors for Cincinnati Pride, volunteering with local organizations that support trans youth, and facilitating events for the LGBTQ+ community in her area. She believes Norwood is full of untapped potential for community, kindness, and growth, and she can not wait to help it flourish.
