Jess will be the first out LGBTQ+ person on the Upper Darby Town Council!
Biography
Jess Branas was born and raised in Lancaster, PA, and had an opportunity to spread her wings throughout the state over her years. Awarded her BA in Spanish Linguistics from Pitt and later her Masters from Millersville, she becomes a “hometown” girl wherever she resides. As a former public school educator, Jess made Delco her home in 2009 and resided in the 2nd District since 2017 with her rescue pit Nacho. At 46 years of age, Branas credits her focus on what matters to people in their daily lives to being a cancer survivor since 2012, a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ Community, and having a strong value in family. Like many, she wants cleaner neighborhoods, safer streets, and unity in order to make Upper Darby, its businesses, and its constituents thrive.
