Biography

“I’m Brittany Bonanno, and I’m running for Webster Town Court Justice. With over 18 years of experience as a Civil Servant, primarily in the Criminal Justice system, I bring a unique perspective to the bench. My career in law enforcement, along with my dedication to service—volunteering in fire and emergency medical services, youth sports, mental health advocacy, and animal rescue—has shaped my commitment to fairness, accountability, and justice.

As a partner to an extraordinary wife and co-parent to three incredible teens, I understand the deep impact our justice system has on families. I believe in addressing the root causes of crime, ensuring those who come before the court have access to resources that help prevent reoffending. Mental health and community support should never be stigmatized but openly discussed as part of a just system.

I have assisted in counseling formerly incarcerated people how to transition back into our neighborhoods and I have placed members of our community under arrest. No matter the encounter or the circumstances behind it, I have always embodied the principles of fairness, empathy, and integrity. If elected, I will uphold an impartial and just court where everyone—no matter their race, religion, gender expression or economic status. —feels heard and respected.

Webster is a strong, inclusive community. My commitment is to serve with empathy, ensure equal application of the law, and work toward a system that prioritizes both accountability and restorative justice when appropriate. I look forward to meeting you, hearing your stories, and earning your support.”
