Biography
Navarra Carr was first elected to the Port Angeles City Council in 2019. Navarra is a third year law student at Seattle University School of Law and will graduate next year. Before attending law school, Navarra served for two years in AmeriCorps and went on to work in nonprofit finance and administration. Navarra has a commitment to public service and serves on a number of community and City boards, including the North Olympic Development Council, Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, and was the co-founder of Port Angeles’ annual Pride March. Navarra is the youngest member of City Council, the only renter, and the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the Port Angeles City Council. Navarra is working to make Port Angeles a safe, healthy, and resilient community where everyone is welcome and where we can all live, work, and play.
