Chad will continue to be the only out LGBTQ representative in Sweetwater County!
Principled. Proven. Productive.
A fifth generation Rock Springs resident, Chad is dedicated to the community and Wyoming. He believe in leaving things better than he found them and apply that to every aspect of his life, be it a hiking trail or the community.
In his current role as the manager of the Rock Springs Urban Renewal Agency/Main Street Program, he is a true community champion. He works closely with small businesses and believes in their ability to transform Wyoming’s economy.
Chad is an unapologetic advocate for Rock Springs and wants to take that passion to the state legislature. He previously served on the Rock Springs City Council from 2003-2008 and again from 2011-2013. He was initially elected to the Wyoming State Legislature in 2020, having served 1 term.
Chad has a B.S degree in marketing from the University of Wyoming. He has three daughters, Katie (24), Grace (19) and Hadley (17) and was married in August 2020 to Jon Harwood. Chad’s children hope to live and work in Wyoming so the mission to create a more vibrant and diverse Wyoming is personal for him.
