Biography

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chris Walton grew up with a deep passion and interest in politics. He became heavily involved in the political arena starting in 2004, which has allowed him the opportunity to work on political campaigns across the nation from President Barack Obama to Milwaukee Alderwoman Chantia Lewis as well as roles working on behalf of Democratic Party of Wisconsin, the Governor of the State of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office, and the Milwaukee Mayor’s office. Chris is currently the only African American county Chair in Wisconsin. He was elected Chair in 2017 as the youngest Chair in County history, the first openly gay county chair, and the first African American man to be county chair since the 1980s.
