Kelly was the first out bisexual woman elected to serve in the Virginia State Assembly!
My name is Kelly Fowler, and I am currently a delegate in the Virginia General Assembly. Although I am married to my husband of 15 years and we have three children. It was widely known in our family that I’ve always been bisexual. It wasn’t until 2022 that I actually felt that I could publicly say that I was bisexual. I want my children and future generations to be themselves and not feel like they have to hide their identities. In 2023, I introduced a constitutional amendment to remove the ban on gay marriage from the Virginia Constitution, but that billl was never given a hearing. For Virginia sake, we need to maintain our LGBTQ+ representation. I am committed to being a voice for our community
