Dacia Grayber

Oregon House of Representatives, District 28

Dacia will continue to be a voice for equality in the Oregon legislature!

Biography

Representative Dacia Grayber is currently serving as the Representative of Oregon House District 35 in the state legislature and will be seeking re-election to the newly minted House District 28 (Southwest Portland). As a firefighter for over two decades, she has spent her life serving the community, one call at a time. She has had the incredible privilege of being called to people’s most vulnerable moments and channeled the power of using that lived experience to fight for a better world. Every time the alarms go off and she races to the engine, she carries with her the reminder of what’s possible when we don’t take NO for an answer and instead choose to redefine what is possible. This commitment is reflected in the work she is accomplishing for workers, families, and all Oregonians— from fighting for justice in the workers’ comp system, to expanding economic opportunity for all workers, transformative policy that champions both labor and the environment and tackling urgent issues like Wildfire mitigation and response. Currently Rep. Grayber is the Chair of Veterans and Emergency Management, the Vice Chair of Business and Labor, and also serves on the Ways and Means Public Safety and Wildfire Committees.
