Daniel will defeat an anti-LGBTQ legislator in the Pennsylvania State House

Biography

In 2018, Daniel Smith ran against Daryl Metcalfe and earned the honor of having the #1 campaign in the state that outperformed historic numbers, per the PA House Democratic Campaign Committee. He accomplished this in a heavily gerrymandered district. Due to the strong challenge Daniel presented, his opponent was forced to spend more money than he has ever had to, for any challenger, during his 18 year career. Because of this successful momentum, and with strong state and national financial support he received, Daniel has decided to run again to finish the job he began in 2018. Daniel has been affiliated with the banking industry for over 23 years. He and his husband, Don have been together for 15 years and reside in Mars, PA.
