Biography
David Ledonne is a longtime Democratic & LGBTQ+ activist who has over 30 years of experience in state and local government in Massachusetts. He is currently Chairman of the Wakefield Board of Assessors and is seeking re-election to that board in April of this year. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, David, along with many other LGBTQ+ activists, worked the halls of the Massachusetts State House in support of the passage of the Massachusetts Gay & Lesbian Civil Rights Act, as well as the Hate Crimes Reporting Act of 1990. David is also a proud union member and steward for the National Association of Government Employees. He and his fiance, Robert Reed, will be celebrating their 5th anniversary together in February of 2023.
