Donna will be the only openly LGBTQ member of the Albermarle County Board of Supervisors
Donna Price is the Democratic Candidate for the Scottsville Magisterial District seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.
She spent 25 years on active duty in the Navy, retiring as a Captain, serving as a Prosecutor, Defense Counsel, and Trial Judge; Commanding Officer of the largest legal office in the Navy; worked with Congress where she was responsible for all personnel and medical issues affecting the Navy. Able to work with both Political Parties she was asked to serve as a Professional Staff Member (PSM) on the Personnel Subcommittee of the Senate Armed Services Committee for both the Democratic and Republican Parties.
Donna served as a Senior Vice-President, Privacy and Compliance; and Chief Compliance Officer for a healthcare provider in the TRICARE arena (the military healthcare program). She has also been engaged in the private practice of law for over 15 years, with expertise in both military law and her specialty, security clearance adjudications. As a result of her vast range of expertise she has been a frequent quest commentator on many National Public Radio broadcasts at the local and national levels.
Donna is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond School of Law where she has taught military law and be teaching Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law.
She is active in her Episcopal Church; served as the Chair of the Military Law Section of the State Bar; and on the Board of Directors of several nonprofits.
