Eli Woody

Eli is a former teacher who is stepping out of the classroom and into politics because he is tired of watching the “same old, same old” story in the Kansas House. Born in a working-class household, Eli learned early the importance of keeping an eye out and an ear open for people who need a hand. In the classroom, Eli learned quickly that his students were struggling to learn due to a lack of access to food, healthcare, transportation, and financial security. Keeping peanut butter crackers in a desk drawer only went so far, which certainly didn’t solve those issues. So Eli is fighting to address those issues and others, in a race to replace an incumbent who enables extremism in the statehouse.
