Graysen will be the first Latinx and Indigenous Trans Man to serve locally on the Salem City Council !
Graysen currently serves as a board member of the City of Salem’s No Place For Hate Committee, Salem’s Race Equity Task Force, and the Latino Leadership Coalition, Inc. of Salem. He has participated in various community-based initiatives to better assist marginalized communities. Graysen has volunteered extensively with organizations that work with the elder population, sickle cell anemia and HIV patients, among others.
Graysen is a passionate advocate and speaker, focusing most of this work to empower marginalized youth. Graysen holds an MBA from Marylhurst University and a Bachelor’s in journalism from Temple University. He is a member of Sigma Beta Delta, in recognition of high scholastic achievement (summa cum laude).
