Benjamin Harman

Ben Harman has been advocating for marginalized and disadvantaged communities since he was in middle school. Currently the Treasurer of the Board for Point Foundation, the largest LGBTQ+ scholarship organization, as well as a member of the Human Rights Commission for the City of Newburyport, Ben continues to fight for equality and inclusion for all. He is running to represent Ward 4 on the Newburyport City Council to be a champion for issues impacting his neighborhood. Specifically, Ben will work to increase the City’s investment in youth services, climate resilience and environmental issues, and the availability of affordable housing for seniors and working families. He is passionate about finding consensus to move things forward so Newburyport continues to thrive as a safe and welcoming place to live.
