James Demetriades is running for re-election for Cromwell Town Council. James, first elected in 2017, is a 2011 Cromwell High School graduate, a 2015 Fordham University graduate, and a 2018 graduate of Quinnipiac University School of law. He is currently a labor and employment attorney who advocates for workers’ rights across Connecticut. He believes strongly in transparency and accessibility of local government and through social media has increased awareness of local government affairs over the last four years. James is also the chairperson of the Nonprofit Cromwell Creative District which seeks to rethink how we see downtown Cromwell through Creative Placemaking.
