Biography
A decorated law enforcement leader with over three decades keeping communities safe, Susanna Johnson has the experience, judgment, and integrity to lead our Sheriff’s Office – free of politics and bias.
With your vote, Susanna will prioritize effective evidence-based policing strategies that will reduce crime and gun violence, build regional partnerships to help people in crisis access services, and implement community policing ideals with a service mindset to rebuild trust.
Committed to trust and transparency, Susanna will create a public dashboard so residents can see what is happening in their community and within their Sheriff’s Office. She will invest in the co-response teams and the Office of Neighborhoods to truly address behavioral health and homeless challenges. She will prioritize the safety and well-being of all employees to improve retention and hiring while raising standards to again become a State Accredited Law Enforcement Agency.
