Justin will be the first openly LGBTQ elected official for the Town of Clinton
Justin and his husband Adam live in New York’s Hudson Valley. Justin attended Princeton University and graduated with honors before completing law school at Columbia University, where he was editor of the Business Law Review and Chair of the Moot Court Executive Board. Since 2008, Justin has practiced law at some of the most prominent firms in the United States and was named a “Top LGBT Lawyer Under 40” by the National LGBT Bar Association in 2012. He currently serves as President of workOUT, a national organization of LGBTQ restructuring professionals.
Justin is a dedicated community servant and has spent over 11 years working with the teenagers across New York state in the YMCA’s Youth & Government program. He has taught and mentored hundreds of high school students to develop their public speaking and critical thinking skills, and uses his legal background to prepare the students to serve as attorneys and judges in moot court. Justin is currently a member of the YMCA of Greater New York’s board of directors, and previously served as Chair of the Vanderbilt Y Board of Directors. In 2016, the YMCA of Greater New York honored Justin as its “Adult Volunteer of the Year” for his dedication to the Youth & Government program and service on various YMCA boards.
Justin’s legal experience and history of community service make him an excellent candidate for Town Justice and he is looking forward to being part of the Town of Clinton’s “Next Generation of Leadership.”
