Kelly will be the first openly LGBTQ woman on the New Hampshire Executive Council
Kelly Boyer is a passionate public servant who has volunteered and worked in the nonprofit sector for most of her life. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois; she moved to New Hampshire in 2008 while serving with AmeriCorps. Kelly currently works as a Human Resources Information Specialist. In 2018 Kelly was elected to the Goffstown Select Board. As a Selectwoman, Kelly has been noted as the first woman elected to the board in over 10 years, the youngest elected Selectwoman in the history of the town, and the first openly LGBTQ+ elected official for Goffstown.
Kelly has made great strides in Goffstown as she recently worked on a team to bring 24/7 Fire and EMS coverage to Goffstown. She assisted in securing a FEMA SAFER grant for Goffstown and helped secure the 2019 Library of the Year award for Goffstown Public Library. Her progressive initiatives have helped bring a National Service Member to Goffstown Town Hall, start a department-wide communications committee, and improvements to countless processes and policies. Kelly lives in Goffstown, NH with her wife, three dogs, and flock of chickens. She enjoys spending time with family, good coffee, kayaking, woodworking, and listens to copious amounts of audiobooks.
