Biography

Kristin Savage is a proud career public servant and passionate progressive change agent. She is an Executive Vice President of 617MediaGroup where she and her team win campaigns for labor unions and progressive organizations in the only unionized progressive communications firm in the U.S. Committed to the labor movement, Kristin is a proud member of I.U.P.A.T. DC 35, the Painters Union.

An out, Queer candidate, Kristin has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights since her teenage years, and worked on policy and programs for the health and rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and HIV+ sex workers since early adulthood.

Kristin has lobbied successfully for progressive women’s health policy and programs to fight issues around poverty in the New Mexico State legislature, clean energy policy in the Pennsylvania state legislature, served as a Legislative Director in the PA Senate, and fought to win union worker campaigns through communications for 32BJ of the SEIU in the last decade.

Kristin’s public service includes elected and appointed offices including PA Congressional District 7 Delegate to the 2016 DNC, first Democrat to serve on the RTMSD School Board elected in 2017, 2018 Inaugural Commissioner on the historic first in the nation PA Governor’s Commission on LGBTQ+ Affairs, and a 2020 appointment to the Mount Holly, NJ Environmental Advisory Commission/ Green Team. She’s been asked to bring her deep electoral, legislative and governing experience to Mount Holly Township Council, and can’t wait to serve her community in increasingly meaningful ways!

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Kristin Savage is now proud to live in Mount Holly, NJ with her partner Carli Savage, and together they are proud moms of their daughters and son, Kaya, Jiya, Siobhan and Bella.
