Harrie will be an important voice for the LGBTQ community in Carrol County!


Harrie Farrow was raised in the Virgin Islands and graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State. She’s lived in Eureka Springs, Arkansas since 1992, raised her son there and owned and operated a fine dining restaurant for 18 years.

Harrie’s a bisexual advocate and is on the board of BiNet USA. In 2016 she was invited as a “nominated change-maker” to the White House event, The United State of Women, and also attended the Department of Justice’s symposium on violence against women. Later that same year, she attended another White House event, Advancing LGBT Progress in Rural Communities.

Since the 2016 election, Harrie has been the Communications Director for her local Indivisible group, and was involved in five D.C. Capitol Hill healthcare actions including three civil disobedience arrests, the last of which was for interrupting the GOP tax bill vote from the Senate galley.

Harrie is a novelist and freelance writer who cares deeply about the future of her community and the beautiful natural environment of the Ozarks.
