Linda Deos

Yolo County Board of Supervisors, District 4

Linda will be the only openly LGBTQ member of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors

Linda Deos is a Davis resident and attorney specializing in consumer protection law; bankruptcy, student loans, and debt collection defense.

As a Consumer Protection Attorney, Linda successfully sued big banks for mortgage fraud and has defended employees who have endured sexual harassment and discrimination. She knows that too many people in Yolo County are just one missed paycheck away from disaster.

Linda serves on the Davis Utilities Commission, the Cannabis Business Tax Citizens’ Advisory Committee, and the Board of Directors for the Yolo Basin Foundation. I previously served on the Yolo County Health Council.

As a former member of the Yolo County Health Council, Linda learned first-hand the physical and mental health challenges of people in Yolo County, and believes it is critical that we expand and improve access to healthcare, including long-term and mental health care, for all who need it.

In 1985, Linda was a delegate to the United Nations Conference for Women in Nairobi, Kenya, and participated in a number of panels discussing lesbian rights in developing countries.

Being a member of the LGBT community means that Linda knows what it’s like to have to hide a portion of herself to be recognized or be safe in a particular environment, and to fight for a seat at the table.

Linda will always fight to ensure all voices are heard and valued. Linda lives in Davis with her wife, Eva, dog, Dobby, and cat, Marco Polo.
