Biography

Lois Galgay Reckitt has been a feminist activist since 1971 and an LGBTQI activist since 1976. She was formerly the Executive Vice President of the National Organization for Women in DC and the Deputy Director of the Human Rights Campaign Fund. She also spent 37 years as Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Resource Center in Cumberland County, Maine. In 1998 she was inducted into the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame. After retiring, she successfully ran in 2016 for State Representative for South Portland, Maine.
