Biography
Matt Hughes is a career public servant running for reelection to the Hillsborough Board of Commissioners. He has spent over a decade working for nonprofits focused on education, democracy, and diversity initiatives. A lifelong resident of Hillsborough, he was first appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2018 and elected to a full term in 2019. He believes that the Hillsborough community is strongest when its residents feel safe, economically secure, and healthy.
