Meghan will be a critical LGBTQ voice on the Neptune City Council
Meghan Huryk is a lifetime Monmouth County resident who moved to Neptune City in 2017. Having grown up in a small New Jersey town, Sea Bright, she knew Neptune City was the perfect place to purchase her first home. Being surrounded by a close-knit community with access to all the Jersey Shore has to offer was exactly what she and her wife Jess were looking for.
Meghan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Monmouth University, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Journalism and works locally in commercial insurance. She is an active member of the Monmouth and Ocean County Democrats LGBTQ Caucus and the Monmouth County Democrats Disabilities Caucus.
Meghan’s drive to serve her community started many years ago as a volunteer member of the Sea Bright Fire Ladies Auxiliary. It was during this time she developed a strong sense of pride that came along with working side by side with her neighbors. Meghan is excited to be a member of the new Neptune City Green Team and Special Events Committee, and is motivated to take her involvement in town to the next level.
As a candidate for Neptune City Borough Council, Meghan is focused on improving the amenities available to residents, bringing small businesses back to town and decreasing homeowners’ property tax burden. Neptune City is a gem of the Jersey Shore and with the right long-term vision, we can keep it that way.
