Noah Arbit

Michigan House of Representatives, District 20

Noah will be an important voice for equality in Michigan!

Noah Arbit is a lifelong Michigander, experienced public servant, advocate, and community leader running to represent Michigan’s 20th House District because he believes West Bloomfield, Commerce, and the Lakes deserve bold, new leaders who will exhaust every path to find innovative, common-sense solutions for our community. That’s the kind of person he is and the kind of representative he’ll be.

Noah’s commitment to public service stems from his faith and family; he grew up learning about the Jewish value of “repairing the world,” and the story of his great-grandparents, immigrants who escaped religious persecution in Eastern Europe and built new lives in Detroit, the engine of the world.

Noah has served as a member of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s team and as a staffer in the Michigan House. In 2019, he founded the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus to empower and mobilize Jewish Michiganders to take collective political action. He served most recently as Director of Communications for Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald, where he spearheaded the formation of the first-ever racial justice community advisory council.

As a young person, and as a member of the Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities, Noah is excited by the opportunity to offer a unique perspective on the policies that impact communities across Michigan -from expanding access to youth mental health services to combating rising hate crimes, to strengthening public education and regional competitiveness.
