Biography

Mitch, 27, has nearly five years of experience working for the Council, where he currently serves as a Legislative Aide. His service began as an aide to Majority Leader Rivera. He was then promoted to council staff, where he works on behalf of all nine members. In addition, Mitch serves on the Legislation Committee, where, among other things, he assists Council Members with setting the agenda, reviewing legislation and procuring information from both city departments and outside organizations that are vital to items that are set before the Council.

He holds an A.A.S. from Erie Community College and a B.A. from Buffalo State College.

Mitch has served as past board member for the Boys and Girls Club, a former elected Union Stewart for AFSCME Local 1095 and a past board member on the Erie County Senior Services Advisory Board. Currently, he serves on the Erie County Youth Board and Equality New York.

He has lived in Downtown Buffalo and is currently a homeowner on Buffalo’s Lower West Side with his partner, Gary.
