Phillip will be the first out LGBTQ person elected in Glendale!


Phillip Bailey (he/him) is a Glendale resident who loves calling Redwood Road his home. He has lived in Wisconsin since 2006 having moved to Glendale in Spring of 2018.

Phillip moved to Wisconsin as part of a merger and acquisition from the company he had been working with in Birmingham, AL to work for the parent company of Boston Store, where he was responsible for design and production of many of the company’s home products.

Since Spring of 2018, Phillip has worked full-time as a Professional Realtor in southeast Wisconsin, helping people find their dream home.

He has proudly served as a Plan Commissioner since he moved to Glendale in 2018. He was appointed to this role by the Mayor and approved by the Council. He has served continuously since then.

In 2021, Phillip worked with the Mayor and Common Council to unanimously pass “Glendale Pride Month Recognition Proclamation,” the first of its kind in Glendale.

He has been married to his husband, Jason Rae, since May of 2015. They have a dog and are active in the community. Phillip is part of PRIDE United with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, is a member of Christ Church Episcopal, and curls at the Milwaukee Curling Club in his spare time. He holds a degree from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
