Rich will continue to serve as an important voice for the LGBTQ community in Bloomfield!
Rockwell has been involved in the Gay Activist movement since the 1970s in Philadelphia where he staffed the Gay Switchboard and helped found the Eromin Center, a counseling center for the LGBT community.
Rockwell has lived with his partner in Bloomfield for 18 years. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from Temple University. He recently retired from a career in Information Technology in the banking and pharmaceutical industries. Rockwell has served as Bloomfield Councilman at-Large since 2018 and is running for a three-year term in November. He has served on a number of Bloomfield civic and community organizations and Boards including the Zoning and Planning Boards, the Historical Society of Bloomfield, the Historic Preservation Commission, and the Morris Canal Greenway Committee. In 2015, Rockwell authored “Bloomfield Through Time.”
