Rosanna will continue to be a voice for equality on the Sacramento Municipal Utility District Board of Directors!
Rosanna Herber is the middle child of thirteen, born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She attended Indiana University, Bloomington where she graduated with Honors and degrees in Spanish and Psychology. She worked as the Mayor’s Citizens Advocate before moving to Sacramento, CA.
In Sacramento, Rosanna was the Chief of Staff to City Councilwoman Kim Mueller, where she became active in the LGBTQ Community and held many leadership roles. She received her MBA from Saint Mary’s College and went to work for the Sacramento, Municipal Utility District. She worked at SMUD for 20 years where she established the first LGBTQ Employee Resource Group. She retired six years ago. Rosanna is now running for re-election to the SMUD Board to continue bringing her expertise and knowledge to this community-owned utility.
