Ryan will be an advocate for the LGBTQ community on the Eugene City Council
As the son of a local mailman and teacher, Ryan Moore has a diligent work ethic and a sincere appreciation for his community. He is running for Eugene City Council to push for the bold, progressive changes we urgently need.
Ryan’s professional experience includes work at several levels of government:
-Citizen Member, City of Eugene Budget Committee
-Legislative Aide, Oregon State Legislature
-Court Liaison, Lane County Drug Treatment Court
Ryan’s community involvement has centered on social justice, equity, and mental health advocacy:
-Co-founder and current Board Member of the Springfield-Eugene Tenant Association
-Co-founder of Our Revolution Lane County
-Past Chair of the Community Action Committee at the Democratic Party of Lane County
-Current Board Member at the Laurel Hill Center
-Past Volunteer Political Director and Volunteer of the Year at NAMI Lane County
Time after time, the Eugene City Council has failed to take action on some of the most critical challenges facing the community including climate change and the housing crisis. Ryan has lived through these struggles, personally, and has a deep understanding of the community’s hunger for real action from its elected leaders. As the next Eugene City Councilor in Ward 8, he will push for urgent and progressive solutions to benefit all Eugenians.
