Biography

Sabrina Cervantes was elected in 2016 to represent Corona, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Norco, and portions of Riverside in the State of California Assembly. She is the Chair of the Assembly’s Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy Committee, and she serves on a number of other committees, including Banking and Finance, Communications and Conveyance, and Public Employment and Retirement.

Prior to her election to the Legislature, Sabrina worked in state government, in the private sector, and for a statewide nonprofit organization.

Sabrina is a lifelong Riverside County resident. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in public policy from the University of California, Riverside, and she completed an executive education program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Importance of Candidacy:

  • Sabrina will continue to be a voice for equality in the California State Assembly.
  • She is the first openly LGBTQ person to represent this district in the California State Assembly.
