Sahar will be the first openly LGBTQ Arab-American woman elected in the United States
Sahar Yarjani Muranovic is a first-generation Iranian-American who grew up in Vienna, Austria. She has a Master’s degree in International Human Rights and a Bachelor’s degree in Business. Formerly the Volunteer and Training Coordinator at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO), Sahar now serves as the Communications and PR Manager for Child Foundation, an international nonprofit focused on supporting economically disadvantaged children to make sure they are able to remain in school.
