Shontel M. Lewis was born and raised the historic Five Points and is a proud graduate of Manual High School, where she became the proud Mother to an amazing son, and now a foster parent to a 1 year old son. Shontel was elected to serve on the Board of the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in 2018, as the second openly Black Queer Womxn. During her time she served as the inaugural Chair of the
Performance Committee and the Chair of the Civil Rights Committee. Currently, she works as a consultant, where she partners with organizations to establish baseline date and thread equity metrics into their strategic plans. Shontel is ready to bring her experiences in housing, education, public health, public safety, homelessness and transportation to ensure that we are investing in our greatest assets: our people. Shontel believes the health of our city is the wealth of our city, and she is ready to put people over our politics to achieve a healthy city.
