Justin Short

Justin Short was born and raised in the Northland of Kansas City. He went on to graduate from the University of Missouri. Justin was involved philanthropically in various organizations through Kansas City most notably his work with The Harvest Ball Society. He worked on a cruise ship for 7 years in various roles, most notably was cruise director. Justin was always back and forth from Kansas City and knew he would serve the city in some capacity in his life. Justin was appointed to the LGBTQ commission by Councilwoman Shields and Councilman Bunch and quickly realized his goal of public service to Kansas City was attainable. He emcees local non profit functions and other events around Kansas City, most recently Kansas City Pridefest. Justin looks forward to bringing fresh ideas and collaborative effort to city hall in 2023!
