Tanner will be one of just three openly LGBTQ members of the Minnesota state legislature
Tanner Sunderman is running for the Minnesota State House in 66A, located in Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, and Roseville. Growing up, he experienced the mental and physical trauma that too many queer youth face, including death threats. After finding his voice with the guidance of his high school speech team coach, Tanner has never stopped helping those around them find their voices as well. From coaching a local high school speech team, to advocating for safer schools, he recognizes the importance of building up the voices of the future. Tanner is running for office because he believes the time for waiting on progressive legislation is over, and that representation needs to be present not only in our elected officials, but our policy as well.
