Zach will be the first openly LGBTQ person elected to Montgomery County government
Zach was born and raised in the small town of Independence, KS. After graduating college, he went to law school where he supported himself by working 3 part-time jobs. His passion for law was rivaled by his passion for technology. So instead of entering private practice, Zach took a job with a legal technology company called LexisNexis. He built an 11 year career at the company and now seeks to enter public service.
Zach is prepared to make history twice in 2020. If elected, he will be the first openly LGBTQ member county government. Additionally, he will be the first legal professional to serve as the Clerk of Courts. His background in law and technology make him uniquely suited for this role and he is proud to represent his party in this race. Zach’s husband and family are fully supportive of his campaign too. They’ve seen his commitment to LGBTQ equality and they know he will be a transformative force in the Clerk’s office.
