Zachary was the first out LGBTQ+ member of the Riverside City Council!
Biography
Zachary Joseph is the youngest and first openly LGBTQ+ councilmember in Riverside’s history. A proud Navy veteran, Zach served five years in the United States Navy Reserves, where he developed a deep commitment to service and leadership. With over a decade of experience as an HR and payroll consultant, he has worked to support businesses and organizations in managing their workforce effectively.
In 2024, Zach was honored as the Montgomery County Democrat of the Year for his dedication to the party and his community. He currently serves as the parliamentarian for the local Democratic Party and chairs the membership committee, helping to engage and expand participation in the political process.
Zach holds both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA (2024) from Antioch University, bringing a strong educational foundation to his work in public service and advocacy.
