Chris Pappas is a widely respected leader and business owner in New Hampshire running to serve a third term on the powerful Executive Council. The Council is a five-member body that functions as a board of directors for the state, working alongside the Governor to approve state contracts and confirm appointments to key positions including judgeships. It is central to how state government functions.
Chris has been a progressive voice on the Executive Council on a number of issues including funding for Planned Parenthood, expanding Medicaid, investing in renewable energy projects, and developing commuter rail to Boston. He has been outspoken on LGBT issues since being elected to the state legislature in 2002.
Chris is a lifelong Granite Stater who attended public schools and studied government at Harvard. He lives in Manchester and co-owns and operates a family restaurant business founded by his great-grandfather 99 years ago. The business has grown into one of the largest independent restaurants in the state.
