Dave Roberts was elected to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in 2012 and has delivered results that matter for the people he represents in the large and diverse Third District. His historic come from behind victory in 2012 proved he could overcome obstacles to be the first newly elected San Diego County Supervisor in two decades.
Supervisor Roberts has earned a reputation for hard work, responsive leadership, positive results, innovation and collaboration, serving the almost 650,000 constituents he is honored to represent.
Dave’s strong support for improved public safety has earned him the support of the San Diego County Deputy Sheriffs’ and Probation Officers Associations, San Diego Firefighters, and the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC).
Dave Roberts also serves in state and national leadership positions as First Vice President of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) and on the Board of Directors, National Association of Counties (NACo).
Dave lives in Solana Beach with his spouse. They have six adopted foster children from the County of San Diego, ages 3 through 20. Dave earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1975. His oldest son, Robert followed in his father’s footsteps as an Eagle Scout, and is now stationed with the U.S. Air Force in New Mexico.
