As a member of the Governor’s Council, Duff is working to ensure civility and accountability of the Judiciary and strives to make sure diversity and visibility from all aspects of society are represented on the bench. Eileen
is firmly committed to Civil Rights and the promotion of Social Justice. Eileen was the 2015 recipient of the Gloucester BAR Association Law Day Award, given for her tremendous efforts to keep the Gloucester and community courts open. She also received the 2015 MASS LBGTQ BAR Association’s Elected Official of Distinction Award for her consistent efforts educating Judges about the specific challenges that gay and lesbian youth face, and the need for public accommodation for the transgendered community in the judicial system. She lives in Gloucester with her wife and 2 dogs. She serves on the Government Affairs Committee of the ARC of Massachusetts and sits on the Board of Directors of the ARC of Greater Haverhill and Newburyport. She is a member of the Massachusetts BAR Association, North Shore Women's BAR Association, the American Association of University Women, as well as other civc groups. She holds a Masters in Management and a Doctorate in Ministry.
