Jason Mida is President & CEO of Mida Associates LLC, a leading consultancy firm founded in 2011 to strengthen non-profit and advocacy organizations. As a Washington, DC-based firm, Mida Associates has worked with some of the most reputable organizations in the United States to generate over $50 million to support their core programming, including: American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), Aslan Project, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (Brady), Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition (CAIR Coalition), Elizabeth Dole Foundation, Former Congressman Tony Coelho, Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science, George Washington University, GLAAD, Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), LGBTQ Victory Fund, National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), ONE Archives Foundation, OutServe-SLDN, Palm Center and the Women’s Heart Alliance. Jason and his team work with organizations through a very personal commitment that stems from their company model of only working with organizations who have proven that they can move the needle forward in the overall fight for social justice and equality. As the son of an immigrant from India and a first-generation Asian-American, Jason believes that now is a crucial time in electoral politics that will ultimately determine the rights and access of vulnerable communities across the country for decades to come.
Mida Associates focuses on building and launching major donors programs, securing institutional grants, improving board performance, extending access to their vast corporate stakeholder list and executing world-class events on behalf of their clients. To date, Mida Associates has secured and hosted events with President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, dozens of Members of Congress, Former Homeland Security Secretary, Tom Ridge, Academy Award Winner, Tom Hanks, iconic song-writer and performer, Tony Bennett, Emmy Award-Winning Host, Tim Gunn, and journalists ranging from Peggy Noonan to Jon Meacham.
Prior to founding Mida Associates, Jason served as Vice President of Development at the Victory Fund where he worked for over seven years. During his time at the Victory Fund, Jason worked on groundbreaking races for Victory endorsed LGBTQ candidates across the country, including Annise Parker’s historic successful campaign for Mayor of Houston. Overseeing a team of seven in development, Jason and his colleagues set fundraising records, secured new corporate partners, expanded the Signature Champagne Brunch Series, built and launched the Victory Campaign Board, bundled record amounts for endorsed candidates running at the local, state and national level and grew the organization’s overall revenue from $3 million to $5 million in less than three years.
As a volunteer and major donor, Jason has continued serving to elect progressive and LGBTQ candidates across the country through his leadership as a Chair of the LGBT Equality Council for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). In his free time, Jason volunteers mentoring services to Fellows of the Eisenhower Institute and also provides pro-bono fundraising counsel for non-profit and advocacy organizations who attend the Campaign Workshop’s Annual Training and Advocacy Series.
Jason resides on Capitol Hill with his husband, Drew Hammill, and the love of their lives, a French Bulldog named Hugo. They love to cook, travel and host events to support a variety of causes in their free time.
