Ali will continue to bring important representation to the Madison Board of Education!
Biography
Ali Muldrow is a lifelong Madisonian who grew up in a working-class home where identity was discussed at the dinner table and difference was celebrated. As a parent to current and future district students and partner to an MMSD dual-language immersion teacher, she has a deep personal connection to the district and a longstanding commitment to education as a force for equity and opportunity.
Throughout her career, Ali has worked to create educational structures that inspire and sustain a love of learning. She has developed a credit-awarding course in spoken word poetry within the school district, spearheaded leadership programs for LGBTQ+ youth, founded the New Narrative Project for incarcerated young people, and championed initiatives that empower students to see themselves as leaders and changemakers. She served as Co-Executive Director at GSAFE, where she developed curriculum and programming to support LGBTQ+ students of color, and she is the inaugural Executive Director of Wisconsin Women’s Health, advocating for reproductive justice and access to care. Her work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to be recognized, valued, and provided with meaningful opportunities for success.
