Alleria Stanley

Alleria Stanley defines her life by “Service First.” A retired 20-year U.S. Army combat veteran, she deployed to Afghanistan and served with distinction. She boldly navigated transitioning while on active duty, becoming one of the first to do so and retire with full benefits. This experience forged her absolute dedication to defending liberty. Now, Alleria runs for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 4. As Vice President of the Transgender American Veterans Association, she leads a national movement for veteran dignity. As a mother of five children across the gender spectrum, she intimately understands the urgency of protecting public education and privacy. Alleria bridges the gap between rural and urban communities, advocating for working families in Brunswick and Frederick. She rejects division, fighting for economic stability and constitutional rights. She refuses to let the freedoms she defended abroad be dismantled at home. Alleria Stanley brings the grit of a soldier and the compassion of a mother to ensure that in Maryland, democracy includes everyone.
